Gout Clinical Trials

We are currently seeking men and women between the ages of 18 to 85 for multiple gout studies.

Gout occurs when uric acid builds up in the blood stream and causes joint inflammation.  While the specific cause of gout is unknown, researchers know that gout may run in families. More men are afflicted with the gout than women (after menopause), and those who consume alcohol.  The health professionals at Altoona Center for Clinical Research continue to find ways to treat gout and the conditions that may develop as a result of a high uric acid level. If you or a family member have been diagnosed with gout, the Altoona Center for Clinical Research is currently offering several different types of gout studies.

The clinical trials taking place at Altoona Center for Clinical Research are new treatment methods that have been developed to help reduce pain and improve the quality of your life.

The clinical trials at Altoona Center for Clinical Research are overseen by some of the most notable physician specialists in the country. Your participation will guarantee you:

  • investigational medication
  • lab testing
  • insurance is not required
