Current Erosive Osteoarthritis Hand Trials

We are currently seeking men and women over the ages of 18 for erosive osteoarthritis hand studies. 

Sometimes referred to as inflammatory osteoarthritis, erosive osteoarthritis is actually erosions of cartilage in the hands. Just like other inflammatory diseases, erosive osteoarthritis of the hand may be confused with rheumatoid arthritis or psoriatic arthritis. In most cases, the only way to diagnosis erosive osteoarthritis in the hand is by x-ray which will often show erosions and other deformities of this disease. Films often show erosions and other deformities associated with this condition. If you or a family member have been diagnosed with erosive osteoarthritis or you think that you may have erosive osteoarthritis,  the Altoona Center for Clinical Research is currently enrolling patients for a study.
