Adolescent Fibromyalgia Syndrome Clinical Trial

We are currently seeking adolescents between the ages of  13 and 17 for an adolescent fibromyalgia syndrome study. 

Affecting more than 5 million people, children between 13 and 17 years old, have it occur one in six times. Generally, fibromyalgia begins in children at the beginning of puberty and it is far more likely in girls than in boys.  Fibromyalgia is a medical disorder characterized by chronic widespread pain, debilitating fatigue, sleep disturbance, and joint stiffness.  Early diagnosis for fibromyalgia syndrome has shown to be helpful in getting a child on track to handle this illness.  Education is a large aspect in treating adolescents with fibromyalgia. The health professionals at The Altoona Center for Clinical Research are currently seeking children with adolescent fibromyalgia syndrome.
